Exhibition of art by Heath Kane
December 1st – 24th 2017
Opening night, Friday 1st December from 5pm – 9pm at Urban Picnic Gallery.
Heath Kane grew up on the northern beaches of Sydney. His early influences were the surf and skate culture of the late 1970s and ‘80s. In the mid nineties he embarked on a career as a graphic designer, working first in Denmark, then America and finally settling it London where he lived for over ten years.
In 2014 Heath and his family moved to Saffron Walden, setting up home and creating a studio. This is where his art career started.
‘Natives’ is a retrospective of Heath’s art, shown for the first time together in one place, in his home town. His work explores the themes of power and greed that are confronting many of us – both at a global level and home.
